In this application example from the "bin picking" sector, several work steps could be automated with an intelligent solution.

The supply hopper drops the components onto the "Varioshaker 270", which then separates them using vibration. The vision system then recognizes the individual parts and transmits this data to the Dobot. With the help of an EGP end effector, the Dobot picks up the components for further processing.

The VarioFeed from Variobotic enables a simple and flexible feeding solution that is also cost-effective. In this video, we present an advanced solution for the automated assembly of ball bearings in production. The setup of the gantry system and the integration of the Epson Scara are shown, as well as the operation of the rotary conveyor and the Variobotic shaker cameras for precise detection and positioning of the ball bearing components. In this customer's application, plastic parts had to be reliably sorted into a fixture. Due to the tight tolerances, the decision was made to use the T3 Scara robot from EPSON.

With a repeat accuracy of approx. 0.02 mm, the high precision requirements were easily met. The versatile industrial robot offers an inexpensive entry-level solution for production lines.

With a payload of 3 kg, 400 mm reach and 0.02 mm repeatability, the compact T3 robot is ideal for simple pick-and-place applications.
