The Schmalz SGM magnetic gripper provides strong holding force on a compact footprint and is designed for the safe handling of sheets, punched parts or metal components. Its permanent‑magnet design ensures secure gripping even in case of power failure, while a pneumatically actuated plunger enables defined release of the workpiece. High process reliability is achieved through rugged construction and stable performance in industrial environments.

The gripper integrates easily into automation systems using standard compressed‑air connections and 24 V logic, and can be combined with robot flanges or mounting plates. Integrated electronics support status signals and controlled demagnetization where required.
